in my opinion, the best shoes are those that are functional, tolerable, and reasonably priced, while maintaining an aesthetic that is both classic and current. the girls behind Brooklyn’s Marais USA “approach shoes the way I imagine French women approach dessert carts: with discerning taste and incredible restraint,” quoth the darling Molly Young. judging from their latest line, they’re hitting all of the marks in the right places.
